During the summer, Inspired Youth offers free introductory piano lessons taught by volunteer teachers. In addition to being pure fun, the program builds discipline, provides the children a means of self-expression, encourages creative thinking, and teaches problem-solving skills. Students attend two or more one-hour periods each week.

Each piano teacher works with one student (occasionally two) at a time. The lessons are given on keyboards at Edgewater Presbyterian Church, 1020 W. Bryn Mawr (2 blocks east of the Bryn Mawr L stop), from the third week of June through the end of July. Currently due to Coronavirus, piano lessons have been conducted virtually.
