ABOUT

Inspired Youth enriches the academic lives and creative talents of students in Chicago's Uptown, Edgewater, and Rogers Park neighborhoods through weekly tutoring during the school year, a summer music program, and year-round choir. Our goal is to support students in developing the confidence and skills needed to succeed in school. This program is free to students from all backgrounds.

Since 1984, Inspired Youth has been enriching the academic lives of students in Chicago's Uptown, Edgewater and Rogers Park neighborhoods. During our time, thousands of students have come through our tutoring program and gained the knowledge to improve their English reading and writing, math and science comprehension, which paves the way for them to succeed in school. We also provide bi-annual conflict resolution and empathy programs to help with their soft skills and combat some issues kids face across the country, but especially in underserved communities.

As a full-fledged 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Inspired Youth offers a variety of programs for those in elementary through high school:

Developing our neighborhood youth so that they feel confident in succeeding in their future is at the core of our mission, and is part of the reason many of our current students are siblings or children of former students. Our dedication and focus on one-on-one tutoring has earned us recognition from numerous organizations, including the Chicago Bar Association.

Vision Statement

To provide students with the foundation of support from elementary school through high school. To build alliances with local schools, community partners, and businesses so we can increase options for academic growth and personal development.
